What a wonderful day! So much to do, so many outstanding tasks, so many people to catch up with, spend time with, encourage & teach, to learn from and imitate in their faith...but above all that, it's a wonderful day knowing that Jesus is with us. Not just theologically 'with us', but here, right here. Touchable, feelable! I love that. We've just gotta remember to enjoy that and call on him in everything we're doing.

We had an awesome time when we had a group meeting last night. Ate together, talked about what God is doing, broke bread with glad hearts & remembered Jesus, encouraging each other to set our hearts on things above, not on the earthly stuff of life which can easily take our focus. Then we read out loud together the book of Phillipians. Wow! We were wonderfully 'washed in the Word' - so refreshed, challenged, encouraged and ministered to simply by the truth of God's Word which is spirit & life to us. Something we should definitey do more.

That's us! Our Piglet (Rich!) moves out this weekend. The boys (Ben, Rich & Matt) have finally got their house just round the corner from us. The Potters Green posse grows to 2 households....& counting.

Yes it's Friday...I am going to see my very good friend Hayley. I can't wait, haven't seen her for a long time cause she was refused to come to our wedding celebration because she had been iceskating... well it's more to the story then that...she broke her arm and had an operation, and to this day she still have two pins sticking out her arm. What can I say; she needs a visit from the Howeses... going down to give her some treats and show her pictures, laugh, talk and just catch up.

Friends is a great gift.... for all my friends and family reading this; I love you and I thank Jesus for every one of you, great friends and the best family.

Have a wonderful Weekend everybody.

Hey, It's Friday and we're going on holiday! Well, kind of. This afternoon Silje & me are heading down to South Wales - Silje will be staying with Hayley, her old college roomie in Merthyr, while I head on down to beautiful Swansea to do a bit of teaching at a weekend training course the church down there runs, then I'll stay on for the meeting on Sunday morning to catch up with friends down that way, maybe even get to go for some Verdi's ice cream! Can't wait to be by the seaside again.

Why Lord? Why the midlands??!!!! so far from the sea. But seriously, there is no more fulfilling place than where God has chosen you to be. I love that!

Ooh, by the way, started another Blog site - http://onechurch.blogspot.com - worth having a butchers at.

Been having some really deep & serious thoughts and conversations today about general stuff like changing the world; one question that remains is 'how come Christians are taught so much yet learn so little?' Dave B shared his thoughts with me from the story Jesus told about the farmer who went out to sow his seed...you probably know it. Jesus ends by saying that 'unless you understand this story, you won't understand any of the others. Wow. Better understand that one eh? It's all about how receptive our hearts are to God's word. Just one simple question I want to ask - how receptive are our hearts today to hear the Word of God, to let it work in us to judge our thoughts and attitudes in the very deepest places, and to obey whatever it instructs us in terms of how we should be living.

I am so desperate to see a great harvest in my lifetime. I know that it all begins with the condition of my heart to hear what God is saying.
