Friday's the day for update on Howes-house...

Summer is starting to slow down and work will hopefully start to pick up again after a slooooooow August here at Nettle Hill. I haven't even told you about the Erlandsen tour of England yet.... My mum, dad and youngest sister Eva was over for almost two weeks in the beggining of this months. Even though my parents dream of a canalboat holiday wasn't fulfilled, we had an awsome time together up in a Cottage in the Peak district. Having Long walks and just enjoying family life... the puzzel in the Cottage was started, but us girls gave up after three days. My family also got to go down to the Howeses in London.

But I guess this is supposed to be an update on us here in Coventry...
We are still living at Nettle Hill, but not for long now (said in faith!!!!). I start my three days a week work from September; can't wait to have time to meet neighbours and just generally have time to do something else then administration.

Baby Howes is doing well...moving around now, which is very exciting. I'm over halfway in the pregnancy so it's getting more and more real for every day...also for Nick now as my tummy is starting to show.

God is good.... and I would love to sit and pour out some more facts from our life, but baby and daddy are wanting lunch now, and as the Good Wife I will provide!!!

Love you all...

Something wonderful for breakfast
Dear friends,
for breakfast this morning I had a bowl of Tesco [Kids] Malt Wheats (like Shreddies but cheaper!!) and for spiritual food this:

"A greedy man stires up dissension, but he who trusts in the Lord will prosper" Proverbs 28:25

I love that. To propser in my life, with my family (I heard my baby's heartbeat yesterday for the first time), in our work, in happiness and all that we need to live this life the way God intends, is to trust him, refuse to stress about anything because he is over it all, and that way I can't help but be prosperous. What a good breakfast!!

This one's for Sam!

As the most enthusiastic and faithful reader of our Howes-House web updates, I heartily dedicate this addition to our good friend, Mr Sam Donoghue, husband to the lovely Debbie; a man amongst men. Sam, we salute you!

More house news in the 'Nick & Silje buying a house in Potters Green' saga which began back in November when we nearly bought a house, but didn't. THen we agreed a price on a house on May 1st, and the people still haven't found a place to go to, so we gave up on that, and yesterday agreed a price on another one - 3 bed, really nicely done up, huge conservatory and very nice cooker!! DOes need a good clean though. It's empty so hopefully we can move as quickly as possible and meet our 'have to be out of Nettle Hill by 1st September' deadline.

I have one amazing statement from the Bible to share with you before I get on with my work:

Proverbs 16:15
When the king smiles, there is life; his favor refreshes like a gentle rain. (NLT)

For those who have put their trust in Jesus, the King smiles upon them constantly, not because of their works to please him, but because of their faith in his Son. For such people there is life (in all its fullness) and the joy of living in his favour which gives constant refreshment like gentle rain - something we can reall appreciate in this heatwave we're having. I love that!! God is so good to us and we are blessed to be his people.

Have a great day!! Nick
