Life is great!
It's a great time this...we've had a week of sunshine. England is beautiful in sunny weather, second day on the row now that I'm going to walk home; that's how much I appreciate it.

Last you heard was that we went to Stratford for the weekend. Brilliant!!!
What has happened since then!?! Well we had a great cell gathering on Tuesday. Everyone with great testimonies of what God is doing or people they've been able to tell about Jesus. We were twelve people together for a lovely meal provided by our South African Friend Valencia. And yesterday Sarah made us, Rich and Matt curry...real curry. So quite an intenational meal week!!!

I shared it on Tuesday, but I would love you all to join with us in praying for one of our neighbours. Friday afternoon/evening God told me that I had to go and tell one of our neighbour that if she needed any help I was here for her. Since we were away all weekend I didn't get time then, but no one's been home there all week. I dropped a letter through to her yesterday, but I just feel that I need to pray for her and would love it if you did too. Her name is Veronica and she is a single mum for 5 girls. Don't ask me what to pray about, but our confidence is in God who knows everyone and knows Veronicas' situation.

Thank you very much -I really appreciate that.
God is good.

Posh trip to Stratford
Despite my 'chipped-tooth' rough look, they still let us into Stratford upon Avon this weekend for a bit of quality R 'n' R (that's rest & relaxation, for the Norwegianers who aren't familiar with out landun talk!). We were teaching all Saturday at an Alpha Holy Spirit day just south of Leicester in Arnesby - it was a great place for small ish groups to go away, think we'll definitely use it in the future. It was a good time, then I surprised my wife by driving her to Stratford where we found a decent little B & B place. Sunday morning was so warm and sunny it was awesome, walking down by the river, wandering through the town. It's a beautiful place and it was such good relaxing time after a really chocca couple of weeks. We even got Monsters Inc. DVD with some Debenhams vouchers left over from the wedding! Much more interesting than the kitchen towels my wife suggested we buy with them!!

Anyway, it's a lovely day here once again. Roll on the summer!

Beaten horribly by my wife...

She's nothing if not a woman of her word! I ought to put a picture on this site soon of the black eye she gave me last night, as promised. Naah, not really, but she does hit me, and bite sometimes as warned by my Bro & sisters in law in their wedding song! Well, the dentist can't fix my tooth till next weds, so another week of looking thuggish. Just need to grow stubble and get my hair cut short to finish the look.

Have a wonderful day.

I have not been on the lazy side when it comes to updating howes-house news, but I've been having problem with internet at work... but I try again;

Life is great. We are now on our second lodger after ten weeks of marriage... Very exiting indeed. Her name is Sarah and she's moved down to Coventry cause she got a job here working with asian and black minority groups...preventing drug work. She's a great girl...awsome story about how God changed her life. She's from a muslim background, but ....wow, God hunted her down...

Over the weekend we've been to a K1 weekend...Roger Aubrey was with us Saturday night, and we had a great time talking about the body and our place in it, how important we all are...and how we can't say we have nothing to give or that we don't need each other.

Nick lost a bit of his front tooth eating a chewy lolly, and he now looks like a naughty troublemaker..I'm thinking about giving him a black eye to match the look.

Sorry, been a few days...what with some technical adjustments and some crashing internet connections...we've been a bit slow to update.

Anyway, some new stuff on the Howes-house site, including some funky wedding pics for your enjoyment. We've got absolutely stacks more, so no shortage of material to keep your interest. Things here are going great - we had our 1st Coventry 'Saturday Celebration' last w/e and it was awesome. About 35 people came from a number of different congregations/groups in the city, plus a number from outside who will be moving here soon. It was a great time of intensity in God's presence, including prayer for the city in 6 different languages and some storming prophetic words about what God is going to do here. We are encouraged!!

This coming w/e we're off to Cefn Lea in mid-wales for a K1 weekend away which is gonna be another quality time. About 60 young adults booked in so far. On the home front, our 'Piglet' (that's Rich) has moved into his new house with Ben & Matt, so we've got the place to ourselves...but may have a girl called Sarah moving in at the w/e - we met her yesterday and she starts work in Cov. on Monday and has nowhere to live!! Good job me & the wife both like having people to stay!
