Eden's cutest pictures yet!

She is cute, she is curious... She is Eden Louise!!! ANd we -we are proud parents!!!

Mummy Howes has not been feeling well this week, so Nick together with good friend Dave Boden had a daddys and daughters day out in the park. And after observing Nyah on the swings Eden enjoyed it alot, and I thought it was only fair that you our good friends and family would get to take part in Eden's first time on the swings and slides. (not the last one by any stretch of imagination...)
Nick has, as you have probably guessed by now, been involved in helping me to sort the pictures out for you.
I would like to send my depest regret to Sam and Debbie Donoghue for not including the cute picture of EDen and Sam, as it was on my phone it takes a little more working at... but one day we here on Howes-house will proove to the world what a great father Sam will be!!!

I am off to Norway on Monday together with Eden... leaving Nick home so he will be grateful for supporting and comforting phonecalls at 6 in the morning so he feels involved in the parenting life even though the princesses are away for a little while!

Lots of love to you all!!!

Emotional roller-coaster!

Half-time: doing OK, but not very exciting. 2nd half...

Blackburn scored twice to go 2-1 ahead and it all looked so glum. So much so that I kind of gave up watching, turned the sound down and listened to a message we had at our Sunday meeting a couple of weeks back about seeking God.

Then, suddenly, from nowhere, Anders Svennson hits is glorious equaliser with 15 minutes left and it's game on. Off goes the teaching message, up goes the TV volume, and I'm focussed again, hoping against hope for a winner. It didn't look good. Southampton looked more like letting one in than scoring, but then (and this is why football is so addictive) a harmless ball into the box, Beattie goes down... ref gives a penalty. Beattie scores. Unbelievable.

I can't help thinking that I prefer life to be more life the 2nd half than the first, which was boring, but OK. Surely it's better to be full of action, exciting, engaging, a little nerve-jangling, but ultimately victorious. Jesus said, "I have come that you may have life in all its fullness." John 10:10

Bring on this kind of life!

(this footy watching & blog updating afternoon was bought to you courtesy of Eden Louise Howes who slept from 12 - 2.30pm!)

Half-time... so far, so good!

I'm watching Southampton v Blackburn Rovers on Premiership Plus at home. Couldn't resist sitting down to this one. The glorious Saints, who I have followed since my first game my dad took me to on 16th October 1982 (a 3-0 win over West Ham!), are looking really poor, but managed a goal.

I'd happily take clinging on to a 1-0 win!! 3 points would be a bonus. I'll let you know what happens (though I'm thinking this blog is far more interesting to me than perhaps anyone else who might read it!).

Message from the wife!!!

As you've understand -it's the wife writing so unfortunately no new pictures or video clip or anything like that, but at least I'm updating you on the adventures of the Howes'.

Last week was Deeper (an amazing 'bible week' for young people 17+) and we were tenting in our new family tent. We had a great wet time! Coventry won the legendary Deeper football tournament -well done Nick and co. But more important we had a great time getting equipped for Kingdom adventures and beeing in the presence of the Allmighty God.

Eden was the centre of attention, and is now suffering withdrawel syndrom as there is only mummy around and I'm not looking at her all the time!!! Hmmm... But you should see her; see is gorgeous with her newly reportoar consisting of waving, dancing and talking!!! She is growing up really fast.

Sunday after coming home from Deeper, we went to good mate Dave Shutts' wedding. Lots of fun meeting friends again that we don't see every day. And Eden got to show her charming powers off to even more people.

The latest in the Coventry Church adventure is one baby boy added to the family -Joel Benjamin Boden, and an iranien girl also added to us in choosing to give her life to Jesus. Praise God -he is good!!! And we are called to be bear fruit, so watch this space!!!

Little girl crying...must go now!!!
