HILLTOPPERED!

This morning, in the rain, running late... I was "Hilltoppered".

What does that mean? Let me explain...

There is a back route from our house up to Nettle Hill where I work. It avoids going through the edge of the city and basically is along one fast country road (60mph limit) which is also a really nice drive. On a good day I can do the trip in about 7 minutes, legally!

Now for the problem: half way along that fast, fun country road lies the infamous Hilltop Garden Centre. This in itself, doesn't seem to be too serious, and we have no problem with the centre itself. Our issue is with the people, well the drivers, who frequent the aforementioned horticultural establishment.

Hilltop drivers are terrible! They drive at 35mph EVERYWHERE, they slow almost to a stop in order to turn into the garden centre, they pull out of the garden centre without any regard to the fact that you are heading for them at 60mph and the road once you've passed is entirely clear. They take 4 1/2 minutes to accelerate to 35mph once they have pulled out in front of you.

I think you're getting the picture. That's what it means to be "Hilltoppered" and that's what happened to me today which I though was worth sharing with the world!
